Evening flight from Ohio State University Airport in Columbus, Ohio to Chicago's Executive Airport. There was a temporary flight restriction (TFR) directly affecting OSU's airport. The TFR ended at 6:15pm Eastern. A strong thunderstorm rolled over the field and delayed my departure by an additional 45 minutes, further closing the window of getting to Chicago before the storms being pushed Easterly by a cold front. Half of the flight was at night and it was just beautiful. The flight was uneventful, and having XM Weather and NEXRAR on board helped out how to avoid the precipitation. Enjoy!
