Conservationists have raised a red flag over the destruction of the famous Fort Jesus and other historic sites across the Coastal region. National Museums of Kenya says the heritage sites and landmarks such as the Vasco da Gama Pillar in Malindi, Fort Jesus in Mombasa, face an uncertain future due to rising sea levels blamed on global warming.
