Jan 27, 2016. This is a veterinary education video for pet owners and dog breeders. This case shows the Corgi having low blood calcium. Not eating and vomiting for the past 3 days The breeder decided to bring the dog to Toa Payoh Vets for an IV drip. . Blood test showed blood-borne bacterial infection (leucocytosis and neutrophilia) and kidney failure (high urea and creatinine). Despite IV drip of Hartmann's and 5% dextrose saline and antibiotics, the Corgi could not recover and passed away 24 hours later at home. Kidney failure is the cause of the death.
