Often, patients who have undergone extensive medical treatment over a long period of time will develop cognitive or mental health problems that can further limit their capacity for work. Strong medications like chemotherapy drugs or anti-virals, can cause personality change, depression, cognitive loss, and memory issues. These strong prescription drugs can even give rise to serious mental health issues such as anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder or anger control problems. Surgery or other invasive procedures can create similar issues due to the bod's trauma response. If you are experiencing personality changes, cognitive loss, depression or other mental health changes, make sure to discuss these issues with your lawyer. As I discuss in this video, I have seen many cases where my clients' residual mental issues limit or eliminate entire categories of jobs.
