Alcoholism is a devastating addiction that affects 16 Million people in the U.S. annually.  Over 100,000 people die each year from alcohol-related causes.  Like other defense mechanisms, alcoholism serves to numb feelings and regulate our emotions, filling the HOLE IN THE SOUL that Human Disconnect leaves one with.

Some say alcoholism has a genetic base. I see it this way -- the genes load the gun, and the environment pulls the trigger.  If we are hurt, abandoned, abused, smothered, we have a higher probability of filling the HOLE IN THE SOUL with substance abuse.  There are many signs of alcoholism.

If you can't control your drinking, if your drinking is affecting your job, your relationship and your health, it is time to get help.  The 12 step programs are where to start.  Get yourself a sponsor.  Go to an AA meetings and once clean and sober, begin Mind Map therapy to dismantle the negative encoding of pathology and do the work necessary to heal the HOLE IN THE SOUL.
