We had the pleasure and privilege of interviewing "Maria" so that all listening can really experience Dr. Judy trace the early wound of Mother-Infant Disconnect, through the reaction of the wound, and to the encoding of the wound into Maria's negative core belief.

It was noted that when Father is emotionally or physically absent, the Mother does not receive the necessary support needed to then pay the nurturing forward to her infant, causing a "disconnect."  

Coupled with her being brought up in Eastern Europe, Germany in particular during the World War II era, it is also notable that the extreme levels of danger surrounding her and her family impacted the stress levels of her parents which then trickled down to her. 

The blueprint of mental health was filled with stress, abandonment, danger from the outside, and lay the groundwork for anxiety and depression.  "Maria's" core belief of worthlessness. "She is not important," is the mental prison she is challenged with and needs to be released from.
