Homa Bay county Assembly Speaker Elizabeth Ayoo has been impeached after a protracted and bitter battle with members of the county assembly. The Thursday morning unanimous decision followed a motion moved by Ruma Kaksingri Ward MCA Ellyphalet Osuri who accused Ayoo of alleged incompetence. In a sitting that saw all 25 members present vote in favor of her removal, the seemingly irate MCAs accused the Speaker of discriminating and mistreating Assembly members and staff.
