US extends AGOA for another 10 years

The government expects 20 companies to start investing about 8 billion shillings in the textiles industry after the renewal of the Africa Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) this week by the United States. Industrialization Cabinet Secretary Adan Mohamed says the companies had been awaiting the AGOA extension before moving ahead with their investments. By Melline Myendo.
