The 5-year-old red-eared slider cannot retract his head back inside the carapace

19 Sep 2018. Wed This slider had not been able to retract his head into the carapace (upper shell) for the past 6 months. This would be due to the neck paralysis from traumatic mounting by its slibling. Careful syringe feeding of pellets and Critical Care can enable survival.
