Today was a much anticipated event, as this regular St David's Day special, was scheduled to run into South Wales, providing the first main line steam into the Principality for 2011. However, as is often the case, all didn't go to plan, the train was originally scheduled to run to Carmarthen behind 60163 Tornado, this was then changed to Cardiff behind 70013 Oliver Cromwell, this was followed to a last minute change to 34067 Tangmere, which wasn't available, then yesterday it was notified that LMS Black 5 44932 was to be in charge of the sevice from London Victoria to Cardii Central and return. I caught a train from West Wales to Cardiff to film around the Central station, but was surrounded by constant construction noise, inconsiderate people, and trains deciding to pass between me and the special on two occasions. The weather was very dull and cold, so how I managed to get any footage from today, heaven knows. Despite all this I did enjoy getting some real steam up my nostrils, and hope the extraneous noises don't spoil your enjoyment too much...Bob
