On a glorious St David's day at the Capital City of Wales we see Ex GWR King Class 6024 King Edward 1 arriving at Plat 3 of Cardiff Central with the Steam Charter from London Paddington. It is then seen departing with the empty stock for Canton Depot. The loco was required to travel to Newport to turn, and we see it heading through platform 4 on it's way to Newport and again returning tender first to regain its train at Canton for the return journey to London Euston. The return departure was during fading light, but the atmosphere was magical.A great day out and it was great to see so many friends at Cardiff.
