On a wild and stormy day, it was a great treat to see a Castle working in West Wales again. Unfortunately we start with the Westbound service heading through Pembrey & Burry Port some 30 mins down and yet again, following a local passenger service.and just coasting through without a whistle. However for the return run I went to Loughor Bridge, where the wind was getting stronger by the minute, and the incoming tide was coming in at an alarming rate. However this time with Ace Driver Ray Churchill at the controls, and the train having been held at Llandilo Jnc for a Westbound HST, we see the wonderful sight of a Castle from a standing start storming up towards the notorious Cockett Bank with 9 on and a trailing 47, considerably more that was the norm in steam days.My apologies again for any incorrect spellings, which is inevitable when getting this material out on time...That's my excuse anyway....The eyes and fingers aren't what they used to be.....Bob
