On another beautifully sunny day with strong Northerly winds, DRS Class 37's 37688, 37194, along with Class 47 47580, were employed on the 'The Welshman' 1Z51 06.19 from Preston to Fishguard Harbour via Carmarthen via the HOW line and return via Newport and the North & West to Shrewsbury.
In the first clip the train is seen passing the isolated hamlet of Derwydd Road in Carmarthenshire as it heads South to Pantyffynnon, Llanelli, and on to Carmarthen and Fishguard.
It is the seen arriving nearly an hour late at Carmarthen, as it drops of some passengers for a stay at Carmarthen, whilst the remainder continue to the Western most point of West Wales at Fishguard Harbour.
Finally, dead on time, the train roars along Kidwelly Flats, on the long journey back to Preston. Congratulations to Spitfire Tours for dealing with what must have been a difficult day for them so professionally
