East Ridge City Councilman Marc Gravitt has announced his bid for the District 30 seat in the Tennessee Legislature. The seat's current occupant, Representative Vince Dean, is leaving state politics to run for Clerk of Criminal Court. But Gravitt says he won't be leaving his post on the East Ridge city council if he gets elected. His council post isn't up for re-election in 2016. Until then, he plans to do both jobs.
