We are at the top of the Putnam Street Municipal Parking Garage, and we get a quick look at Downtown Fitchburg, Massachusetts.
After that, we ride the very disgusting Meredith HIGHdraulic Elevator.
First impressions were bad enough, with the ultra-filthy everything, the beat up cab, and the creepy dark interior. Could it get worse?
Especially on it's way down, this thing rocks about 1" (2.5cm) left-to-right at the top, and the bottom rolls underneath you, indicating the ram is either loosely attached, or not at all! This shimmies in opposite directions in travel.
I didn't have "Shock Cam" with me, but it's bad, when the TX-10 actually picked up the rocking, and some jolts.
Yeah, this thing totally sucks. Fitchburg needs to fix this. Then again, if they have trouble getting money to fix a broken window for a few years at City Hall, elevator maintenance is very low on the priority list.
