Today, we ride a Worcester Telescoping Holeless Hydraulic Elevator, at a new office building on 114 Merriam Avenue, Leominster, Massachusetts.
This was recorded two weeks prior to the building's grand opening, while construction on the third floor was still underway. It had a tenant at the time of recording.
This is a very slow elevator, and you definately can feel the telescoping pistons, but it runs very quietly. Still signifigantly faster than Speedy, the Meredith Traction Elevator, but still, painfully slow, at 50FPM. The elevator does not serve the basement level.
Worcester Elevator is an independent elevator company, which builds it's own elevators, not using propietory parts and technologies, and maintains them as well.
