'Keep the Wreath Red Campaign' reduces accidental holiday fires

COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKRC) - Wreaths are hanging at all firehouses in Colerain Township as a reminder to keep safety top of mind this holiday season.

It's the fourth year for the 'Keep the Wreath Red Campaign.' The wreaths will stay in place until New Year's Day.

They have red lights, and each time there's a fire in Colerain Township, one red bulb will be replaced by a white one.

Fire officials said the campaign has helped them reduce the number of accidental fires in homes over the holidays.
