Rubber Duck Regatta raises more than $1M for Freestore Foodbank

CINCINNATI (WKRC) - The 24th annual Rubber Duck Regatta raised more than $1 million for the Freestore Foodbank.

It allows the nonprofit to provide meals for hungry families across the Tri-State.

On Friday, the winners of the regatta received their prizes. Josette Anderson-Price won the 2018 Honda Accord, buying just one duck. She took the cash option for the car.

Anderson-Price said she plans to give back to the community and to her church.

Christine Anderson was the winner of the second prize: $5,200 dollars worth of groceries from Kroger. The Xavier University professor couldn't be at Friday's event, but she's donating the prize to Xavier's student food pantry.
