UTC students on March 29 protested the firing of a WUTC reporter after Tennessee legislators complained about a story she wrote. Reporter Jacqui Helbert said she feels vindicated after National Public Radio released a statement Monday condemning the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga for firing her from WUTC.
