Jul 28, 2018. The 18-month-old hamster came in for a tumour removal. The tumour is ulcerated and could be a skin wart. Removal is by surgery. Many hamsters over 1 year old develop skin lumps or warts or subcutaneous tumours. This hamster was operated and is OK (see video Pt 2/2). The scent gland was cleaned during anaesthesia. The owner detected the lump early and so removal is easier and cheaper.
