Number #10: Faith, the 2-Legged Wonderdog 

Faith was born with 2 weakened front legs that needed to be amputated. Faith’s owners then taught Faith to walk on her hind legs. She has been on the Oprah Show and met dozens of celebrities. Faith walks everywhere on her hind legs.

Number #9: Hexapus

The only known 6-legged octopus lives in England. It was initially thought 2 legs were cut or broken off but after further inspection, the octopus was born with 6 legs and not 8. 

Number #8: Squittens

Squittens are kittens that looks like squirrels due to a genetic defect that shortens their front legs. The radius and ulna bones are shortened or non-existent. They are also known as T-rex cats or kangaroo-cats. 

Number #7: 6 Legged Cow

In 2003, a 6-legged cow was found in the hills of Cambodia. A 6-legged cow of itself would be unusual, however, the 2 extra legs weren’t protruding from the underside of the cow, they were attached at the top of the cow’s neck. 

Number #6: Two Turtles in One

In 2007, a turtle was found that was actually 2 turtles joined at the bottom. It was born in China and the the Chinese believed it was a sign of good fortune. 

Number #5: The One-Eyed Kitten

In 2012, a bengal cat gave birth to a one-eyed kitten, Cleyed the Cyclops. It had one large eye in the center of its face and no nose. The veterinarian who delivered the kitten said it was extraordinarily rare. Sadly, the kitten didn’t live very long after birth and died of suffocation. 

Number #4: The Pig with the Human Face

In February 2015, a piglet was born to a Chinese Farmer that had a face that looked almost human. It had a strange beak like face with a protrusion coming out of the top of its forehead. The strange little piglet was born alive but died 2 days later after the mother pig rejected it. 

Number #3 Three-Headed Frog

Frog mutations are fairly common but a frog with 3 heads and 6 legs was unheard of until this 2004 discovery. Initially, people thought it was 3 frogs huddled together, and were shocked to find it was one frog! The frog was put into a tank but unfortunately escaped and wasn’t found again. Pictures do exist and there is speculation the mutation was caused by a nearby decommissioned nuclear facility.


Number #2: The 2-Headed Albino Rat Snake

In 1999, the World Aquarium purchased a 2-headed albino rat snake for $15,000. Snakes with 2 heads generally don’t survive in the wild because the 2 heads will attempt to each other. This 2-headed snake would try and move in opposite directions and actually lived up to 8 years of age.

Number #1:

In early 2014, a farmer in Croatia thought he was losing his mind when his goat delivered an 8-legged kid that was both male and female. Local veterinarians said the goat probably absorbed its twin while in the womb. The goat couldn’t support itself to stand and vets said it wouldn’t live more than a week or 2 at most. The 8-legged goat was nicknamed “Octogoat”.
