The Top 10 Most Shocking Body Modifications (Version 2)

Number 10: Corset Body Modification

Starting off the countdown is probably the least shocking modification of them all, the corset body. Piercings going parallel to the spine with ribbon/leather ties weaved thru. It gives the back the appearance of a corset. Women more often than men get the corset body modification.

Number 9: Elvish Ears

To have your ears sharpened into a point, like an elf from The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Elvish ears are still being requested. There are varying degrees of sharpening and they range from barely noticeable points to extreme sticking out 4-5 in from your head.

Number 8: Eye Tattoos

Getting tattoos directly put onto your eyeball is not recommended by the American Ophthalmology Association. Hearts, stars, initials are only some of the more popular people are getting placed in the eye.

Number 7: Donut Head

Getting saline injected into your forehead and then pressing down into the middle of the risen saline, creating an imprint of your thumb. It is called ‘the donut’. Thankfully the saline is readily absorbed by the body so the ‘donut’ is only a temporary modification. It will last a few hours at most.

Number 6: Canine Teeth

Having your teeth filed and drilled into pointy canine teeth is body modification #6. People want to feel like they can be cats or wild animals and getting only the tattoo doesn’t do the trick for them. The teeth is something that certainly creates an imprint.

Number 5: Scarring

Purposefully having scars branded/burned onto your body. Symbols, initials, words have all been used by the branding irons to place on people that request them. Popular places to get them include the stomach and thigh areas.

Number 4: Forked Tongue

A tongue like a serpent, split in 2, is what people are running off to get done. The appearance will make your heart skip a beat. Its a pretty scary sight to see someone have a tongue sliced in 2. Some even go as far as to have a zipper sewn onto the 2 pieces.

Number 3: Wolverine

Sharpening his way into the top 3 on the countdown is Wolverine. Long, sharp metal talons are inserted into the top layers of skin on the hands to give the appearance of claws. The claws are stainless steel and there are 3 on each hand.

Number 2: Belly Button Removal

The belly button is typically only one of two ways, innie or an outie, however, what if there was no belly button? Belly button removal is becoming more and more requested. The reason people give for having their belly button’s removed is they want a clean, smooth surface for a large tattoo.

Number 1:

The side lip window takes the #1 spot for the most shocking body modification. The side window is a cut in the cheek which is then filled with a gauge/earring to slowly stretch it out. Once it is at its desired size, a piece of pexiglass can serve as the window. The pexiglass is inserted in place of the gauge/stretching piece. Everyone will now be able to see how well you really floss.

Time for the question of the day:

Let’s get creative. What do you think the next insane body modification is going to be? Attaching a chain from your lip to your nipples, pulling out your toenails and replacing with claw to look like a dragon? What do you think. Get creative and leave a comment below.
