Superman #12 puts the focus on Lois Lane for a moment. Even though she has a new job at the Daily Planet, Lois is at the hometown paper, before Frankenstein busts in.

Even though Superman doesn't appear until halfway through issue #12, this is still a very good part of the DC Rebirth Superman story. With little regard for the people or surroundings, Frankenstein crashes into the local Hamilton paper while tracking a foe and Lois Lane happens to be there. Being the badass she is, Lois leaps into action and has the Hellbat Armor gauntlet from her moon battle. I doubt Batman would really miss it much but you need to wonder how long she had it in her purse. Tons of action ensues before Superman shows up on the scene, which farmer Cobb kind of steals out from underneath him.

Overall, Superman #12 is a fun story and should become and interesting arc. The cool thing is that this is the first real issue that hasn't had Jonathan aka Superboy in it, which is a little refreshing. While the story might feel like standard Superman fare, the art is great and it's a refreshing change of pace while still focusing on the whole family.
