Hi BdoubleO, I'm not into Feed the Beast, but as you're only using redstone anyway, I did this in vanilla minecraft using a chicken swimming in water as a randomnizer, with trip wire right above the water. Veeeery easy to built and very compact. And if you're extra cool, trap a creeper instead ;)
