A 2-year-old dwarf hamster, much loved by the owners, had a soft swelling in the chest area. The hamster was not so active in exercising on the wheel in the past 2-3 months.

From the surface, this lump looked like a tumour. Surgery showed that it was a haematoma, a rare case. The haematoma was lanced and the blood taken out by Dr Daniel. He stitched up with 4/0 suture x 1 stitch.
