A lesson to be learned. Many great minds out there have had pretty open, obvious and miserable failures and rose above to do amazing things that have touched us all (Oprah Winfrey, Michael Jordan, Walt Disney just to name a few). ***Transcript Below*** _________________________________________ * FREE WEIGHT LOSS AND DETOX START-UP GUIDE: http://bit.ly/jcSignUp * SUBSCRIBE FOR NEW VIDEOS: http://bit.ly/JovaSubscribe ✔ CHECK OUT: http://jovankaciares.com ✔ FOLLOW: http://twitter.com/JovankaCiares ✔ LIKE: http://facebook.com/JovankaCiares ✔ SUBSCRIBE: http://bit.ly/wellnessjolt WARNING: THE INFORMATION PROVIDED IN THESE VIDEOS ARE FOR ENTERTAINMENT AND AS OPINIONS ONLY. SOME OF THE ADVICE HERE MAY NOT BE SUITABLE. ____________________________ These great individuals failed but didn’t stop there. They learned valuable lessons, shifted their mindset and developed a plan to follow and became successful beyond their wildest dreams. But the plan has to start with you, with shifting your mindset and seeing the glass half full. Only then can you be ready to turn the page, and draw a new plan on the blank canvas in front of you. Here are some tips for how to pick yourself up after you fail: 1. Set new goals. Set a new set of goals for your, using the experience learned to do so. It could be that the tasks at hand were too large or not big enough. It could be that your deadlines were unrealistic or the ideas not clear enough. I find that defining one big goal and then breaking it down into smaller, more immediate goals help me both emotionally (because it give me a sense of accomplishment) and objectively (because they are much easily attainable). 2. Visualize your success. We’ve talked about visualization before. It’s the art of living your end goal in your mind like a movie that you watch on TV. It is the best way to move away from negative thinking. So picture yourself successfully reaching your goal. Give yourself some time to see yourself accomplishing every small goal until you reach your desired place in the sky. 3. Create a clean, written plan. Organization and planning is key if you want to succeed. You must have a written, organized plan for the goals mentioned above. Being organized and h aving a written plan will help you stay focused, stay on track and follow through. Something that many of us have problems doing. 4. Surround yourself with the right people. When it comes to building my brand and business, I like to be in rooms where I may be one of the least smart people. I want to be surrounded by people with higher experience, that can mentor me or teach me highly valuable lessons every time I’m around them. The same thing applies for people with positive attitudes that believe in you. No need to may-sayers telling you to get a grip or “get real”. If they have nothing good to say, stop listening to them and move on to those that can give you constructive criticism AND can give you positive reinforcement as well. Those positive people will encourage you to pick yourself up, try harder and reach further than you ever knew you could. 5. Don't live in the past. What happened in the past need to stay there. It’s gone, nothing you can do about it, other than learn from it. What happened yesterday doesn’t define you, nor does it determine what will happen today. 6. Never Give Up As you’ve seen from the top of the video those who become successful are those who never give up on their dream. Their dream may evolve into something very different from what they set out to do when they first started but once they got there, they realized that they were meant to do what they eventually accomplished. Pursue your goal with all your will and all your might and don’t let anything get in your way. There's no reason why you couldn't be that person, too! Have the attitude of those that are already there, already in reach of their dream and you will soon be there as well. Inspired by my mentor Marie Forleo at +MarieTV
