Benjamin Scott Brewer declared imminent hazard to public safety

Authorities say the truck driver involved in the nine-vehicle accident on I-75 falsified his records. Benjamin Scott Brewer said he was off duty from June 15th until June 25th, but tracking systems showed he drove on three days in-between. Officials say he also omitted a 2013 crash and a speeding citation from his job application. And he tested positive for controlled substances this past May. Brewer is now declared an imminent hazard to public safety. He’s been ordered not to operate any commercial vehicles in interstate commerce. The investigation into the Chattanooga crash remains ongoing.
