Back injury video while working out lifting weights. I didn't know it at the time, but I had something called "Femoracetabular Impingment" and my hips were very tight. This led to my back compensating on a subtle level (again, hard to see on camera), which caused the injury. I was lifting weights properly (doing power cleans) and it doesn't look like much...but this was the worst back injury I've ever had. I hobbled out of the gym that day... I wasn't doing max effort deadlifts, or super heavy back squats. Just some light power cleans exercises. What I learned over the next 4 years of rehab, flexibility and mobility work, movement re-education, etc is that EVEN IF YOU ARE LIFTING PERFECTLY, if your UNDERLYING alignment is OFF, you can still JACK yourself up. Read more on my blog about how I came back from this injury and over the next 4 years, developed a system for fixing injuries / improving mobility and flexibility and more.
