Hi everyone. Just to say Happy christmas and a bright New Year, and thanks for all the views, passed the100,000 mark last week. It inspires me to realise how many people there are out there who are interested not just in apples, but self sufficiency, and the idea that we in Europe and the USA might at some stage in the future lose the ability to buy (and with imaginary money at that!) cheaply produced (due to unjustly low wages), expensively refrigerated fruit and vegetables brought by diesel consuming container ships from half way round the world to our supermarkets, and maybe, just MAYBE, rediscover local and seasonal food production. Before its too late. We STRUGGLED to learn what we know, and are grateful for the opportunity youtube gives us to pass on what we learned, however imperfect. Thanks to you for clicking, favouriting and passing on. Yes, this orchard as Piotr says is not modern and I lose money on it. But I gain, and share, life. It bothers me that there are so many people today who have neither the skill nor the will to produce their own food or support themselves in any way other than hooking into the machine, and (look at Greece, will you) who believe that fighting the police and burning 'the capitalists' will somehow produce the goods and services they feel they have a right to demand. Anyhow, from now until bud burst in late March/early April, its TREE PLANTING TIME. If you can, you should.
