Hamilton dealership offers $10,000 reward after 1968 Firebird stolen from lot

HAMILTON, Ohio (WKRC) - The Fiehrer family of Fiehrer Buick GMC in Butler County is offering a $10,000 reward for the return of a stolen classic car and the arrest and conviction of the thieves who took it.

The 1968 Firebird is bright red with a vanity license plate that reads “ELVISP 1.” The classic car also has a black vinyl top and loud exhaust pipe.

Dan Fiehrer bought the car in 1992. He believes the thieves know a thing or two about classic cars because they replaced the battery and cut certain cords to speed up the theft process.

“I didn't believe it at first,” said Max Fiehrer, Dan’s son. “I drove down here real quick and I saw the empty spot where it was and it just ripped me apart. Broke my heart seeing that."

“As far as the people that took it, I don't think they realize how much that car means to me, and you're thieves and I hope you get caught,” said Dan.

Dan’s brother created a Facebook post offering the $10,000 reward. The post was shared more than 700 times in just 24 hours.

Dan says he has received calls from car enthusiasts as far away as Arizona, saying they're on the lookout.
