Fire forces four people from their Fairview apartment

FAIRVIEW, Ohio (WKRC) - Four people have to find another place to stay after fire damaged their Fairview apartments. Firefigthers were called to the building on West McMicken, near Ravine, at 3:43 a.m. Friday morning. There was heavy fire in the basement and it had spread to the first and second floors of the three-story building. They were concerned because there were fears that as many as three people may still be inside. Firefighters searched the apartments and didn't find any residents. They did find one dog who had died. A person who lived in the apartment where the fire started went to the hospital to get minor burns treated. No one else was hurt. Firefighters estimate the fire did $75,000 damage to the building. The Red Cross is helping to find a place to stay for three people who needed their help.
