Florence food service worker diagnosed with hepatitis A

FLORENCE, Ky. (WKRC) - Another local food service worker tested positive for hepatitis A, but health officials say the risk of exposure to patrons is considered to be low.

An employee at Lee's Famous Recipe on Burlington Pike in Florence has been diagnosed. The health department says the person worked there on Aug. 25th and 26 during a period of time when they were infectious.

Officials say the restaurant is taking steps to disinfect any areas that may have been contaminated.

This is the third time in the past month a food service worker has been diagnosed with hepatitis A.
