Organic farming still foreign to most Kenyans

Even though there has been a push for farmers to embrace organic farming, to most Kenyans the concept remains foreign to them. This is partly fuelled by low levels of tracing back within the food production chain and shortages that put consumers at the mercy of sellers. As our reporter Caroline Kamau narrates, the few farmers who have embraced organic farming face a number of challenges among them market for the produce which is costlier.
