5 Tips that can help you avoid a Heart attack== FREE 12 WEEK PHYSIQUE TRANSFORMATION PROGRAM :http://www.labrada.com/12weekleanbody Ask Lee Q & A #1) http://www.labrada.com/asklee ALL Labrada supplements here: http://www.labrada.com/store/ Please feel free to ask any questions you may have regarding Fitness or Nutrition and I will be happy to try and answer them. Here's where you can ask.. http://www.labrada.com/asklee In this week's Ask Lee, I'm going to cover the topic of heart attack prevention and some tips that may help you experience better heart health. I'm going to start by saying that I'm not a doctor or medical professional, and that you should check with yours, before starting any exercise or nutrition program, and before implementing any of the ideas covered in this video. Here are some tips you may want to consider: 1) Exercise. If you aren't already exercising, start. Exercise is important for the workout it gives your heart, and will also help you manage your weight, which helps your heart health also. Exercise will also help you look and feel better. Weight training is great for building strength and muscle, and will make your heart stronger. Combine this with cardio exercise such as biking, jogging or walking for a complete heart healthy exercise program. For more information on weight and cardio training, see my 12 week lean body challenge program on my website, Labrada.com. 2) Limit the intake of saturated animal fats in your diet and increase your intake of omega-3 fatty acids. Animal fats clog arteries, and essential fatty acids from cold-water fish such as salmon and sardines reduce inflammation and have been suggested to positively affect triglyceride levels, blood pressure, and heart rhythm. Skip the cheeseburger, and go for the grilled salmon. 3) Eat more fruits and vegetables. Fruits and vegetables are high in healthy antioxidants and fiber, which can help reduce cholesterol. 4) Eliminate sugary foods. Foods that are high in sugar cause rapid spikes in your blood sugar and raise insulin, a fat storing hormone. The up-and-down of your blood sugar levels can also lead to insulin resistance, which is the first step on the road to type-2 diabetes. 5) Lose the belly fat. If you have a belly, it isn't helping your health. Belly fat is also called visceral fat, and it's stored between your organs, and deep inside your abdominal cavity where it secretes proteins that can trigger chronic inflammation, putting you at risk for heart disease diabetes, and even cancer. If your waist measures more than 35 inches, it's time to take action. Hope that you will find these 5 heart healthy tips useful.
