WEST END, Ohio (WKRC) - Change is happening in the West End as demolition begins to clear land for the new FC Cincinnati stadium.

Construction crews began tearing down Taft High School's Stargel Stadium Tuesday. The bleachers were the first thing to go.

A new Stargel Stadium will be built in time for Faft's season opener in August 2019.

The new FC Cincinnati stadium is expected to open in 2021.
