Instagram @rhyannawatson There was a farmer in Africa who was happy and content. One day a wise man came to him and told him about the glory of diamonds and the power that goes along with them. The wise man said if you have diamond you can rule the world and can have your own city and then he went away. That night farmer couldn’t sleep. The next morning he made arrangements to sell the farms and went in search of diamonds. He looked through whole Africa and Europe but he did not found any diamonds. When he went to Spain he was physically, emotionally and financially broke. He got so frustrated that he committed suicide. Back home, the person who had bought his farms was watering the camels at a stream that ran through the farm, across the stream the rays of the morning sun hit a stone and made it sparkle like a rainbow. He thought it would look good as a mantle piece. He picked up the stone and put it in the living room. That afternoon a wise man came and asked Is Hafiz back? The new owner said no, but why did you ask? The wise man said because that is a diamond. I recognise one when I see one. The man said this is just a stone that I picked up from the main stream. Come, I’ll show you more. Both of them went back to the stream and picked up the diamonds and sent the sample for analysis. Sure enough, the stones were diamonds. They found that the farm was indeed covered with diamonds, acres and acres of them. This story simply tells that when our attitude is right, we realise that we are walking on acres and acres of diamonds. Opportunities are always under our feet. We don’t have to go anywhere, we just have to recognise them. The grass on the other side always looks greener. When people don’t know how to recognise opportunity, they complaint of noise when an opportunity knocks on the door, but the same opportunity never knocks twice. So stop running in different direction and change your attitude to realise opportunity.
