Phillip Sear plays 'Like a slow dance' - the first of a 1936 set of ' Poemetti Pagani' (Pagan Poems) by the Italian composer Renzo Rossellini (1908-82). ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Renzo Rossellini (1908-82) is best-known as the brother of, and provider of film scores for the film director Roberto Rossellini (1906-77). However, his 130 film scores included many for other directors, and Rossellini also wrote in many other genres, including several operas, ballets, symphonies and chamber music. He was born in Rome and studied at the Santa Cecilia Academy there. In the 1930s and 1940s he held various teaching posts, and also worked as a music critic for 'Il Messagero'. He was a friend of the ruling family of Monaco, and from 1960 lived in Monte Carlo, where he was artistic director of the Opera of Monte Carlo between 1972 and 1976. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------- Played by Phillip Sear http://www.psear.co.uk (Email: [email protected] WhatsApp: http://wa.me/441444483794 ) TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@pianogems
