Phillip Sear plays a short piece from 1898 by the Russian composer Eduard Schütt (1856-1933). --------------------------------------------------------------------- Eduard (or Edouard) Schütt (1856-1933), though Russian-born, latterly lived in Vienna and Switzerland, and his own music is cosmopolitan in style. However, rather like that of Fauré, his music has some very distinctive harmonic and technical fingerprints that make it very identifiable. One can imagine this piece (as so much of his music) being played in the vanished world of the aristocratic salons of the grand villas of Austria, Switzerland and Italy which Schütt frequented. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------- Played by Phillip Sear http://www.psear.co.uk (Email: [email protected] WhatsApp: http://wa.me/441444483794 ) TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@pianogems
