A papillon has a very itchy right eye Pt 1

Jan 19, 2015. The owner rushed in at 7 pm as his Papillon keeps rubbing his right eyelids till the palpebral hairs are gone. Dr Daniel used fluroescein eye stain test and shone the torch light on the eye. If there is corneal ulcer, there will be green areas in the cornea. But none was seen when the light is shone directly into the cornea. What is the cause of this intense right eyelid rubbing? I shone the torch light at an angle and this showed small corneal ulcers at 6 and 9 o'clock. Small corneal ulcers are seen in this video by Intern Phyllis. If you shine directly onto the cornea, these small green corneal ulcers cannot be seen. Between the green ulcers, there is the small fine blood vessels growing into the cornea. Corneal ulcers are due to injury and are very painful for the dog.
