My original song about a certain type of law enforcement who doesn't get enough respect. Performed at the Kumu Kahua Theatres fundraiser. Lyrics: I wake up at the crack of dawn With a stret1ch and a moan and a yawn Brush my teeth and comb my hair Slide down the railing of my stairs I'm so excited, I'm turning pale My new uniform just came in the mail I don't have a gun but that's okay I lock and load my pepper spray My whole family's been on the force so Naturally I'd join it of course All I want is for crime to stop So I became a bicycle cop Ride my bike to work and then Ride it for 8 hours again When I'm at work I look my best I always wear my neon vest On my break I get food to eat Doughnuts are a healthy treat My bicycle doesn't need a rack I always carry my fanny pack The love for my job will never stop I'll always be a bicycle cop Everyone respects me, I'm a man of the law The coolest guy in short shorts You ever saw Try to run you cannot win except for that time I crashed into the recycling bin that guy he kinda got away Well I ring my bell on my bike Tell loiterers to take a hike I don't care what you say These tassels on my bikes not gay I look so cool man I totally rock Grandma bought me a pair of knee-high socks And all you evil doers Shoplifters and thieves I better not catch you robbing Stores like Sports Authorities If you try to run you won't get far unless of course you have a working car then you can pretty much get away because my bike only has 5 gears and I can only go up to 20 miles per hour unlike your car that can go up to about 80 and on top of that its fuel efficient and it doesn't help that I tire quickly. Well its plain as day now can't you see Riding my bike is my destiny I will continue to fight crime With this bicycle of mine I am a force that you can't stop I'm the one and only bicycle cop Riding my bike is the only way Unless I upgrade to a Segway I am the one that shop lifters fears I'm a two wheeled wonder of shifting gears Love for my job will never stop I will always be a bicycle cop Ride my bike to work and then I'll ride it for 8 hours again
