Locals of Tiaty in Baringo county are in dire need of regular and adequate healthcare. Mothers and their babies are sucumbing on a daily basis due to poor maternal and child health services. The nearest hospitals are a long distance away and emergency cases like snake bites, common in the area, usually result in death. It is a dire situation that is only alleviated by the help of an American missionary in the area, but her efforts however noble are just but a drop in the ocean.
