Starting around 2/15/2012, a new MBTA parking garage will be built on the site of the very small MBTA  Station, Leominster, Massachusetts.
Half of the parking lot will be blocked off for the project, which will add a 3-story garage, more than doubling the measly 140 spaces the station currently has.
This station gets full right away, since day 1 in 2005. People risk towing ot tickets, parking in nearby business parking lots, or on the street. 
Part of the design will included a covered MART terminal within the garage.
Opening is expected to be July of 2013, but the warm winter will allow the opening to around April, so it's not a long wait, if all goes to plan.
