Deputy President William Ruto has asked elected leaders to shun petty politics and embrace the handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga for the sake of development. Ruto, who was in Migori and Homa Bay Counties for the first time since his re-election, defended his tours around the country, saying they have nothing to do with the Uhuru succession politics. The Deputy President said the government will not marginalize any part of the country irrespective of its political affiliation.
