Reinforcements join Duke Energy crews in Tri-State to help restore power

CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Three hundred Duke Energy crews traveled from North Carolina to Cincinnati on Friday to help get the power back on in the Tri-State.

The trucks are staging at Eastgate Mall Friday, one day after an ice storm hit the Tri-State.

Duke crews are still surveying damage done by the ice to determine what can be fixed quickly and what needs more work.

According to Duke Energy's communications official Sally Thelen, Duke Energy has restored 187,000 outages already.
