Im sure that many of you have heard that on keto you need to eat 75% percent fat and 20% protein and 5% fat.
In a medical paper I found this about ketosis: Ketosis is a normal metabolic process. When the body doesn't have enough glucose for energy it burns stored fats instead!
So this basically means that when you dont have carbs then the body switches to burning fat. But wait a second what if you havent eaten enough fat what happens then? Well then the body is going to burn the fats that are stored in the body and that is what most of us want.

There is another misconception: you are guaranteed to lose weight if you are on keto. Many people have a problem that they over eat and if they are on keto then they over eat on keto. If they are on intermittent fasting and eat once or twice a day then they over eat in these 1 or 2 meals per day.

If your goal is to lose weight what i would recommend is that first you start on the kotgenic diet and once you are in ketosis you track your weight. And if you are losing weight just keep going, dont change anything. But if you are not losing weight than you have to just sit down and count your calories maybe for a week or 2 and when you go back to losing weight you can stop, but if your weightloss stops again you have to go back to counting calories.

I am one of those people who has to keep track of the calories to be able to lose weight. So there is nothing wrong with that.
