A Sweet Django Chordal Ending.

The series of chords which make up this beautiful ending come from non other than the man himself, Django Reinhardt.

This ending sidesteps cliches and gives any piece in a major key a rich and beautiful close.

Here's how to get this one down in G Major:

1. Fret a G/B voicing on the 7th fret. The tonic G is played with your pinky.

2. Next chord has the C# (9th fret bottom E string) in the bass and the rest of the chord barred on the 8th fret. The tonic G remains on top this time played with the 1st finger which is forming the barre.

3. The next chord is the same inversion as the 1st chord but up one fret. So it's an Ab/C on with the C in the bass and Ab on top with the pinky.

4. The last chord is the same inversion as the 2nd chord but played on the 8th fret bottom E string. The barre is on the 7th fret with F# being the highest note.

5. Then you resolve back to the 1st chord G/B

it's important to bring these chords to life with feeling. It's not enough to just simply strum the chords. Try to arpeggiate, high light the top note of each chord and give it some vibrato too!

Have fun!
Robin
