All you have to do is stop playing and what you've played before and after will have more effect! Try this simple exercise when soloing. 1. Play 2. Take a breath 3. Play 4. Take a breath ...and so on. I've learnt from experience that I sound better when I don't fill up all the space with notes. Try it next time you play and have fun!
