The BBC produces some interesting recreations of past times, including this series (currently showing) about farming during the Hitler war (world war 2). The series was filmed a mile from where we live at Manor Farm, a working farm museum. We have exhibited our fruit there. When they wanted a decent amount of quality locally grown apples for a recreated scene involving the WI (Women's Institute) preserving fruit, they aproached us as local growers and Julia sold them some of the best apples we had available at that time (November 2011). These Winter King (later renamed as Winston after UK wartime leader Winston Churchill, so a particularly suitable apple for this programme) apples feature in this programme.

This is the second time our apples have been on TV, we also featured in a Rick Stein food programme from Winchester farmer's market which has been repeated a few times.
