15th Annual Mobile Jewish Film Festival Kicks Off Sunday

MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) The Mobile Jewish Film Festival is back for its 15th straight year showcasing award-winning, feature-length films surrounding Jewish themes. The festival runs from January 11th to January 22nd and will have films shown at various locations including Bernheim Hall, Laidlaw Auditorium at the University of South Alabama, the Springhill Avenue Temple and Ahavas Chesed Synogogue. Many of the showings will be accompanied by guest speakers to discuss the themes displayed in the films. The festival kicks off with a screening of Marvin Hamlisch: What He Did for Love at 3 p.m. at the Springhill Avenue Temple. Tickets are $6 for students and seniors and $8 for adults. Last years event was named as one of The Best Jewish Film Festivals of 2014 by The Jewish Daily Forward. CLICK HERE for a full list this years screenings.
