MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) Friday morning, a jury will continue deliberating the fate of two young men accused of murdering Mobilian Wendy Fisher. Fisher was gunned down outside her home after yelling at a driver to slow down and avoid her pets.Trayon Washington is accused of stepping out of a grey Nissan Altima and shooting Fisher to death. His brother, Pat Brown, was driving that car, and is accused of aiding and abetting in the murder.During Thursday's closing arguments, Defense attorney Art Powell lashed out at prosecutors, saying they focused only on Washington from the beginning, ignoring other possible suspects.Trayon Washington did not shoot anybody, and they didn't prove it, Powell proclaimed to the jury.He also pointed out to the panel inconsistencies in the testimony offered by prosecution witnesses. Then, Powell told jurors that another passenger in the car, Anstice White, better fit the killers description. Moments later, assistant D.A. Jennifer Wright kicked off an aggressive defense. Voice raising, she told the court Wendy Fisher was gunned down like an animal in her front yard.Wright reminded jurors of the 2 hour video interrogation of Washington. You listened to two hours of nothing but leis, lies, lies, lies, lies! she said.Wright reminded them of three witnesses who independently identified Washington as the man with the gun. As for Pat Brown, the man accused of driving the car, Wright described him as the ring leader and without him, none of this would have happened.Throughout the trial, Brown's attorney, Jason Darley, maintained his client had no part in the shooting and never expected it to happen.Prosecutor Wright has debated that claim.Jurors began deliberating Thursday evening, then left for the night, set to resume deliberations Friday morning at 9 a.m.
